A GLIMPSE WITHIN...

AT A VERY EARLY AGE I realized the power of the mind.  I found myself transfixed by the visionary dream of John F. Kennedy when he challenged a nation to place a man on the moon, and what followed when Neil Armstrong took his first step…

“This is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

From that moment on, all limitations and impossibilities were erased from my mind.  If we could walk on the moon then anything was possible.  Martin Luther King influenced me when he talked about faith by saying…

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step.”

His words became my mantra every time I faced insurmountable challenges.  I intuitively knew I didn’t have to know how I was going to accomplish a particular task, like climbing  the World Trade Center or the Sears Tower or the Millennium Tower in San Francisco this past Labor Day, I just knew I had to take the first steps to make it happen and believe in the  magic of taking action.

The legendary Bruce Lee taught me how to be like water, how to keep adversarial situations from effecting me in a negative way, that the highest level of any martial arts is to avoid the fight in the first place, that the ultimate victory is achieved by making your adversary your friend.
Carlos Castaneda taught me how to silence my mind and walk in the spirit of a warrior.  John Lennon inspired me to believe the world could live together as one, that world peace is not only a dream, but a reality if we all chose to believe it to be.  Steve Jobs, the genius behind Apple, demonstrated the power of innovation and the true meaning behind the 'Pursuit of Excellence'.

As time went on it became increasingly clear that thoughts not only possess the ability to manifest themselves into reality, they contain the very energy source that gives us life!   If you can conceive it you can achieve it.  All you need to do is believe this to be true and take the necessary actions.  Then step back and watch the magic happen!
